I couldn't find a good spot for this post so I though this board would suffice. So, apparently, there is a sequel to come for Modern Warfare. Release is Autumn 2009. That's all that I got from Wikipedia.

Well, unless Activision and/or Treyarch don't get their butts in gear, the PC version is going to tie. Think about what keeps people playing COD. Its the mods and maps. Without the mods and maps, playing the same 16 stock maps gets old real fast, and people simply move on.
In the past, PC gamers had a couple of years before a new 'updated' version of COD was released. Giving a long life time to the game, and ample time for modders to help extend the life of the game.
With the problems of COD:WW at launch, requiring a patch within hours of the game hitting the shelf, you would think that we would have a patch in place already. Read some of the posts over at www.callofduty.com. The 'host' of the site, or the 'one in the know' (JD2020 - Public Relations) claims that creating a patch takes time.
If in fact it takes time to create a patch, for the fixes we need, does that mean they knew the game was flawed, and went ahead and boxed it up to meet a deadline to hit the retail shelves??
Many in the modding community are giving Treyarch until the end of January to get something done. We've already lost one of the best guys around in the COD series of modding, Tally. He's become so tired of the 'lack of community', for instance: one guy figures something out and keeps it for himself rather than share his findings with the community to help keep it in tack and strong, only to blow his own horn. Treyarch, in the development stages asking leaders in the modding community to visit their offices and share what the 'game needs'. The time spent was all for nothing.
I enjoy the COD games. Always have. However from day one, the majority of server admins look for ways to modify their stock setup. Taylor it to their specific needs, and Treyarch (claiming they are listening to the modding community even when in production) is simply dragging their feet in releasing any patch.
For me, I think COD is going to simply be a memory. I can't justify spending $50 for a game that isn't supported they way it should be. I guess time will tell. There is still hope for COD:WW, and it all lies with Treyarch and the missing patch.

I agree Wannabe. I know you've heard my opinion. I can guarantee there was a meeting and someone said put it on the shelf if it's got Call Of Duty on the label they (meaning you and me) will buy anything. I'm getting bored and tired of buying junk (not the word I wanted to use).
