Nice! I don't see any prop or engine controls on B-29 by the pilot, did engineer have total control? Surely some redundancy. I like the crude tubing braces for the nose coming off the pilot and co-pilot consoles.
My Mothers high school sweetheart was a navigator on one of the B-29s in the Pacific. They had to ditch on a return run from Japan and spent a few days in the water. After being picked up he was transported by aircraft flown by the movie actor Tyrone Power.
How would you like the job of polishing that P-51. The second seat is where the fuselage tank use to be. With all the guns and armor in place they had to be real careful of the CG with a load of fuel in that fuselage tank. After take off they would burn down some of that tank before switching to the drop tanks.
