Well, the first day is done. We had 9 matches of Encounter on the Himmelsdorf map. We won 6 out of 9! Good job guys!
On to Murovanka tomorrow night.

Not quite so successful tonight. Won 2, tied 1, lost 6. Seven points out of a possible 27. But we're still over 50% for the two days.
Our problem tonight, besides facing higher quality opponents, was our choice of heavy tanks on the large map of Murovanka. We got spanked by teams with 3 lights or mediums because they could pop out and light us while their teammates hid out of our view range and picked us to death.
Tomorrow is Ensk, where our heavy tanks should once again be advantageous.

Okay, we finished the tourney last night, and by my count, here's how we did out of 45 games:
17 wins 2 wins by forfeit 1 draw 25 losses
The tourney was scored: win - 3 pts draw - 1 pt loss - 0 pts forfeit - technical victory, no points and reduced possible points
Total possible tourney points is 135 (9 games * 3 points * 5 nights). So by tourney scoring, we had 52 points out of a possible 129 for a tourney score of 52/129 = 0.403
WoTScout has us ranked #923 out of 1472. I don't trust their ranking completely because they're counting a full 3 points for a forfeit win. But it's close enough and it puts us solidly in the money for an award of 3000 gold and a few premium consumables.
Had a fun time and learned a lot. Huge thanks to Gunga and Mosier who put up with my endless analysis and (more than) occasional noob maneuvers without (too much) complaint.
Next time (if there is one) we definitely could use alternates. As Gunga said, this was a bit too much like work.

When do the people who played in the Grand Finals Countdown get their rewards for playing in the tournament?
We have seven days after the end of the tournament to pay out gold. As I am just getting back from the Grand Final's in Poland, I should have the standings up tomorrow, and we're planning to have prizes out by Friday. If anything changes, I'll let y'all know.
